We use one solid piece of cowhide, which is what has made our belts last up to thirty years. The art of making belts this way is getting harder and harder to find. I've bought three of these belts, two of them for myself and one for a gift. One of them I've had for five years now and is still in great shape. I wear them daily. Highly recommended, excellent quality, and beautifully crafted belts. If you buy one you will not regret it.
